The Grey Village Hall

Person picking up litterThe annual community litter pick will be held on Sunday 11th April.

If you are available please come along to help tidy up the verges of the access roads to our village. In 2019 we collected 50 sacks of litter and the whole area looked much tidier as a result.

We will be meeting at 10.30 am outside the village hall. I will give a short Health and Safety briefing decreed by Hambleton District Council. Please note that social distancing must be observed.

The success of this venture depends on the number of volunteers so if you feel able to help for a couple of hours please join us.

HDC will supply all the equipment to include tools for litter picking, yellow jackets, gloves and bin bags and will collect the full rubbish bags afterwards.

It is more important than usual this year that we have enough equipment for everyone, as litter ( particularly discarded masks or other PPE) must not be handled without protection. Please let me know if you are taking part so that I can order the appropriate amount of equipment.
