Welcome to the Sutton-on-the-Forest Village Community website.
Sutton-on-the-Forest is a vibrant community of more than 700 people with regular village events held throughout the year. Many Clubs and Societies meet regularly within our community. You can find out about these under Our Community.
If you have anything that needs to be included within the website then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Details are on the contact page.
Village Support with Coronavirus
If you are worried about going out, need to self isolate and need food or essential items, then don’t be afraid to ask for help. None of us know what the next few weeks holds, but while we can, the village volunteers will do their best to make sure you don’t run out of anything. At the moment volunteers are just offering shopping, but please ask if you are stuck as some folks may be able to offer telephone support or dog walking etc? We can’t promise anything, but call, or email and we will try our best. All items will be left on your doorstep and we will let you know when we have delivered. We will not come in your house, or get cash for you from the bank (please ask someone you already know and trust to do this). Please contact Caroline or Martin and they will put you in touch with a volunteer near you. You can also contact Caroline or Martin if you wish to be added to the list of volunteers.
Parish Council Meetings:
The Parish Council has not been holding face to face meetings during the Pandemic as we have advice that this should not be done unless it is essential. However, normal business has continued via email with a record of business conducted, and the proposer and seconder, where appropriate. A copy of the virtual agenda will be put on the website and the noticeboard next to the village hall.
If a resident has an issue that demands the attention of the Parish Council or wishes to comment on any item on the agenda, please contact the Parish Clerk with the details before the date given on the agenda.
Normal meetings will be resumed depending upon the Covid status of the Hambleton district.
