One Battle After Another is a 2025 American black comedy action thriller  directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Benicio del Toro. It follows an ex-revolutionary who is forced back into his former combative lifestyle when he and his daughter are pursued by a corrupt military officer.
Anderson’s phenomenal screenplay is a timeless story of resistance but it’s also a remarkably propulsive, fun, and eventually moving piece of work about the human beings caught up in the chaotic machine. Roger Ebert
