This is a ‘tutored wine-tasting’ with Stuart Calder, a founder member of the York Medical Society Wine Club. Not only is Stuart extremely knowledgeable, but also known as an amusing raconteur, coming highly recommended so we are looking forward to a most enjoyable and entertaining evening.
Stuart does not take a fee for these events, asking instead for a donation to charity (yet to be chosen) which the village hall will be making.
Saturday 30th November at 7:30pm
Andy Lawrenson Trio, Le Cafe Parisien
We look forward to welcoming back Andy Lawrenson, formerly part of Trio Gitan who have entertained us previously. This time he is accompanied on violin by guitar and double bass in what is described a ‘a musical and cultural journey through the streets, cafes and terraces of Europe. Expect to hear hot club swing, classical themes, adventures into Romani and Celtic music and vintage songs, all delivered with a new twist.’
Tickets for both events from Lis (01347) 811866 or Tricia (01347) 810978, each at £10.
